Coronavirus has hit the world hard and people are in a state of unprecedented panic. Understandably cat owners are worried that their furbaby could get ill. And if they do get ill, what if they pass it onto humans?
Thankfully, your feline friend is one thing you don’t have worry about during this pandemic. They can’t be infected and you can continue to care for them as normal.
The World Health Organisation, (WHO) issued an update about coronavirus and pets on Thursday 13th March stating: “At present there is no evidence that companion animals/pets such as dogs or cats can be infected with the new coronavirus. However, it is always a good idea to was your hands with soap and water after contact with pets. This protects you against various common bacteria such as E. coli and Salmonella that can pass between pets and humans.”
