January 6, 2020

A survey carried out by the Mental Health Foundation in partnership with Cats Protection showed that owning a cat can help lift the spirits. 600 people were interviewed, including both cat owners and non-cat owners.

Your feline friend will listen to you ramble on, never judge you and always be there for cuddles. If you are a cat owner or considering getting a cat, then another reason to love them is because of the positive impact they have on your mental health.

The survey found that:

Another benefit of being a cat owner is that you have 40% less risk of a heart attack than a non-cat owner. AND lower blood pressure after interacting with your feline friend and hearing their soothing purrs.

Cats are just the best!
